anyone know of this ASA book?

I saw a book 2 weeks ago i wanted to read but didn't write down the name.

Its an ASA book and on the cover is the writer, some TWA captain sitting in his L1011.

I should have written the name down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Schiff is awesome. I haven't read the test pilot book, but have read the other proficient pilot books. Great writer!
