Hey just wondering if anyone on here is in the April 18 class for piedmont. Also do you know if they pay for the hotel and how long the training is and what to expect. any help is appreciated

If things haven't changed overnite, you stay at the Morgan in CLT, awesome place, the staff is great and gets to know you during your stay. Single rooms paid for, monthly guarantee from day 1 with 12 hours of per diem a day while in training.

Unless the training department has really smoothed out don't expect a schedule that is anything more than a few days in the future.

Good luck and ask what PFM :D is on your first day!

Also Murphys is walking distance. Great specials on refreshments. Example $1.75 bottles. etc.

upgrade at piedmont

Hey, does anyone have any info on the upgrade times at piedmont.

appreciate and info

Upgrades times were looking on the up and up not too long ago. However, after today's, or should I say yesterday's events with Republic, Midatlantic is basically going to evaporate or at least not become as big of player in USAir's restructuring process, negating the need for many more F.O.'s at PDT. PDT and PSA had a CEL (Combined Eligibility List) that offered positions to CA's and FO's from either company before hiring off the street, or from other companies within the UAir system. PDT was and may still be gearing up for a lot of folks to head up there, but after today I am not sure of that happening. I know of people here (buddies of mine) that have been sitting reserve and working about 5-10 days a month. The latest upgrades at PDT have been here for about 4-5 years, and with no future growth, and little attrition to MDA, your guess is as good as Ms. Cleo's as to what the upgrade time is or will be. Also, remember PDT and ALG just merged, and ALG had a lot of senior FO's that will upgrade. The future of PDT and the rest of USAir rides on the next couple of months and their financing agreements. I wouldn't be too worried about upgrading, but rather having a job!
