If they are, what are the mins required?

Is an MEI really necessary?

I will have both CFI/CFII by this summer and I'm willing to travel anywhere.

Any leads are greatly appreciated.

The rules are just changing due to the number of pilots that are sending out resumes. I know one flight school that has started to require that they have their CFI, CFII and now MEI. It used to be that a CFI was all that was required. If they keep getting resumes, then the hours required will also go up. With no movement in the industry right now, pilots are get their Flight Instructors licences which just floods the market. You wil have to find a nitch or just do it part time. I have a few ideas that I will be using this summer but I don't know if it will land me a flying job.

I've know that Riddle-Prescott is at least interviewing right now. They have a tentative new hire class scheduled for July, but not sure if that'll happen. Things are slowing down everywhere, and there really isn't any movement here either. You only need CFI/II, but you need to have 300 dual given and a 4-year degree.

Good Luck

Maybe Alaska?

Check.......out.......Flight schools in Alaska.

I forgot the name...just do a Google search for "flight school Alaska".
