It took more than 3 months for me. I don't know if that is average or not, but the whole process from resume walk-in to job offer was just shy of 8 months. And it looks like it will be about the 10 month mark at the start of class, so it's not a quick moving process.

PR. is pretty accurate it took me three months from app to call and two weeks from call to interview. It has slowed somewhat since I got here a yr ago.

So long to probation hello second yr pay!!!!

Does anyone know when the clock starts toward 2nd year pay? I was hired Oct 22 with seven others and it sounds like (according to an anonymous hr rep) our interview group may be represented in the Dec class as well as Jan. I, quite unfortunately, will have to wait for Jan. I can not wait.

If you were hired 10/22 then on 10/22 of the next yr is when your 2nd yr kicks in.

Man, you guys are even stingier than we are . . . AirTran anniversary is the first day of your hire month. . . . but, then again, we don't get crew meals, so I guess it all evens out in the wash.

Interesting...I would think the clock would start on your first day of class, not your interview date.

WD may have it correct but I believe they told us 1 yr from your date of hire. Date of hire being your first day of class...

I was in the chief pilot's office last week (no, nothing wrong. Just getting the OK for my 'other airline' leather jacket) and on the chalkboard in his office they had down the class dates and size for the rest of the year.

Nov 15 - 12 people
Nov 22 - 8
Dec 6 - 6
Dec 13 - 6
Dec 20 - 6
Dec 27 - 6

That makes a total of 44 more for the year starting this week. Git yerself in the door before the mass of ATA guys start taking up residence in PHX!

Maybe I got it mixed up but I thought that's what he ment. So here let me try again if you started class that is the day you did that orentation, one yr from that date is when your second yr kicks in. NOT WHEN THEY SAID YOUR WERE HIRED but when you started class.

Just received notice that they ran my FAA record check on the 16th; I interviewed on the 4th. So it looks like maybe they haven't forgotten about us!

Hal I think your numbers are off. I was suposed to be in the Nov 15th class. They shrunk that from 12 to 6. The 6 of us not on the 15th will be dec 6th. The Nov 22nd class was cancelled.

During IOE last week my check airman said he just got the numbers handed to him for next year. 137 new hires for the airbus. Did not know about how many for the 73 or 75, I'm sure they'll be a need for those as well. Hope everybody gets called.

That's quite possible, since it's always in flux. I was just reporting what I saw in the CP's office. I'll stop by the schoolhouse next week and see if there is a new class for the 22nd.

DOH, when I was there, was the day that you first started class and received your badge. That becomes your anniversary date for pay increases.
