In every casino jurisdiction I've been in, $1 up to $5 BJ tables are always multi-deck shoes (or Shufflemasters), and the higher minumum bet tables are the double deck and single deck tables.

You get the idea, right??? The $1 and $2 tables don't pay the same on the strip.

You must not have ever been in the Las Vegas casino jurisdiction before. We have an abundance of $1, $2, $3, and $5 SINGLE deck and DOUBLE deck blackjack here.

Actually, I used to live in Vegas back in the early eighties, and it wasn't like that back then. I presently work for the 6th largest casino corporation in the US, and in the south (where I live), the blackjack environment is like I stated, in every casino I've been in recently (with the exception of the oddball gimmick game, which a serious player wouldn't waste his time on anyway).

Vegas casinos are changing in a lot of ways. We have those weird gimmick games here too. The NY NY has this real weird game. You can bet from $1-10 on numbers 1-6. They roll three dice and the numbers each dice lands on is the winner.

I need to go out there and check it out, it's been a while........we recently sold our casino/hotel out there, and I haven't had a real reason to go, but I guess I'll have to. The gimmick games (War, No Bust Blackjack, No Craps Craps, and lots of others) have showed up here too, but they usually don't last long.

Casino war has become big here. A few casinos have tried all face up blackjack, but the kicker there is a push is a loser for the player.

Which hotel did your company own? We've had quite a few sales recently. The LV Hilton, Golden Nugget, and now the Horseshoe to name a few.

That's right. There's also Royal Match 21, Bonus Blackjack, 21 Madness, and lots of gimmick games. None of them stayed very long down here.

Our company bought the Lady Luck on Fremont Streeet several years ago, and then sold it just last year because it wasn't a money maker. Shame, it's kind of a Vegas landmark.

Hey, I'm going to LAS Sunday for the builders show. Our builder said we should go see it. We're staying at the Monte-Carlo. Is there an internet cafe, or someplace I can take my laptop and get wireless service?

When I lived in CT, I used to love $1 blackjack. Couldn't get hurt, $20 lasted all night.

I don't know about wireless, but a lot of the hotels have put highspeed internet in the rooms.

There are an abundance of Internet Cafes on the strip.

Just to let you know, blackjack tables that do not pay 3 to 2 on blackjack offer significantly worse odds than those who pay 3 to 2. A 6:5 blackjack payoff adds an extra 1.39%(percent of money lost to money wagered) to the house advantage, considering most decent games have a edge of .4-.7% . Probably hard these days to find a 3:2 table for 1 or 2$, and it wouldnt take that much out of you pocket playing for that much a hand, but for higher limit games definately watch out.

This Site has a house advantage calculator and shows the effects of other rule changes
