Just saw this on the Garmin site, looks pretty nice and has an MSRP of $700 which you could probably get it for around $550 online. That sure beats the heck out of the $1800 MSRP of the Garmin 296!!

Just wondering if anybody has played with this thing yet and can comment on it.. here is the link: http://www.garmin.com/products/gpsmap96c/#

it looks pretty much identical to the GPSMap 76CS just with aviation data..
