Sorry to hear about the letter...but don't give up!! Did you go to Phase 2, and then get the letter? I understand Phase 3 to be the class?!

Just curious, can someone explain to me the different phases jetBlue has for their interview/selection process? Thanks.

It's name is "Azul Brasileira" and it looks great in JetBlue colors.

Cool name, Brazilian Blue...

Do all the jetBlue birds get named?

Pretty cool if they do.

There are 2 phases to the interview process. Phase 1 is the actual interview. After the interview, a decision is made to continue to a background check or not. The background check is phase 2. Once the background check is complete they look at everything in you file one more time and make sure they want you and then offer you a class date.

My understanding is almost everyone that makes it to phase 2 gets hired. I think no more than a couple who make phase 2 don't get offers.

Good Luck!

Yes, all the airplanes have a name painted on them.

They are named through a contest in the company, and if your suggestion gets picked, they fly you to Toulouse (sp?) France to pick up the jet.

Pretty cool indeed!

Name the plane...

...I should have googled, then I would have had my answer immediately.

Here are a couple of sites that have lists of the jetBlue aircraft names.

http://www.visitingphx.com/planenames.html
http://www.angelfire.com/dc2/icebird757/jetBluefleet.htm
http://www.lockonaviation.net/html/jetblue.html

Naming a plane makes it unique, and reminds me of the older traditions carried over from ships to planes. Every airplane has its own quirks and 'personality', so why not give it a name? I'm sure it helps crews take pride in their equipment, too.

All of our A-10s have names, whether they are painted on the bird or not.

Nice to see tradition carried on.

On-line app

I got a call for an interview and am about to do the on-line app. Is there anything special that I need to have with me or watch out for sine you can't go back and fix anything?
