What's a matter, can't an airliner get a foamy once in while?

Might be in MX for a few days.

That's the problem. If you let the cat out of the bag that you got a foamy, next thing you know, everybody wants one.

What's next, Manilla folders? Who wants one?

US air did the same thing a few years back. In fact that AA pic looks very similar to what the US Air 767 looked like after the engine blew during a MX run. The U 767 was totaled and sat engineless at the PHL hangar for along time.

well if you read the photograph description at the bottom..........

N330AA / 330 (cn 22330/166) On Friday morning, AA mechanics was performing an engine test run, after a spool up of the engine and apply full throttle power, the engine blew up and scattered debris all over the airfield. The debris caused the closure of two taxiways and runway 25R for a couple of hours. Crash 80 extinguished the fire in two minutes! The LAX has the best response team that I know of. More details of my photos at jetphotos.net if you search under N330AA.

use this ;ink for the photo, they are available just above the pictures
