I was thinking of getting a tattoo on my right upper arm (outside shoulder, the most common place) of something aviation related since I love flying. I was thinking along the lines of wings or something, I really like some of the military and airforce tattoos but since I didn't serve in any of these I think that would be disrespectful to those who have. Does anybody have any ideas on this one? I want something just black, cause colors fade too much.

i was thinking what would be really cool is a tat of a butt on your butt shaped like a butt and is a scratch and sniff.

Tatoos have lost their "coolness" now that they've become main stream. Now there are lots of little old ladies getting them. Also, if you're looking to get an airline job be careful of where you put it. Where I work, and at some other airlines, you can't have any tatoos visible.

If you are going to get a Tatoo you need to get something that means something to you, and is personal. If you were to get a tat based on someone elses opinion you are a dumbass

Hey Swass, does your mother still have that nice little rose tat on her left ass cheek?

a few smacks and I used to make that thing really dance!

 :)

I've got one for you.

The FAA depiction of the holding pattern and its entry sectors. It'll be a real hit and conversation starter with the ladies.

if you don't like that one....

How about a C-150 with a turbine engine on each wing. This one will really make you feel good about yourself.

You laugh but I knew a flight instructor who actually got a tattoo of a 152 on his shoulder. pretty pathetic

Just watch... here in a couple weeks student pilots will start showing up with these on top of their Air Force helmets and thousands of hours MS Flight Sim time.

When I got my first airline job I got the company logo tatooed on my shoulder. Luckily my second company's logo was larger than the first. Now that I'm looking for a job again, I need to find a company with a really big logo. Any suggestions?

Don't laugh too quickly...

A while back my wife and I were at the grocery store and some sweetie had a tatoo of a radial engine and propeller on her upper arm. She also had a "big" watch and aviators glasses. Now that's pathetic. Wait a minute, that wasn't English by any chance was it? ;)

No matter what you end up getting and/or how cool it is, I guarantee you'll be paying some dirtball dermatologist a grand to laser it off in a few years...

I was all set when I left Pensacola to get my Naval Aviator wings tattooed above my heart, right where they had pinned them on when I got "Winged" at the completion of training--after all, I was one of those brain-washed guys with "USMC" tattooed on my shoulder for that ritual, so why not continue the tradition... In any case, I didn't, and I still wish I had---but I neded up with my kids initials over my heart instead, and that means a lot more to me than my wings ever would! Good luck---they're addictive! Once you get a couple you don't want to stop!
