I was wondering if any one here has had PRK done. I am seriously considering changing career tracks to the Navy from the airlines. My vision right now is 20/80. What are the negatives and positives of PRK? Recovery time? Any doctors you recommend? Thanks.

www.airwarriors.com has a lot of topics discussing PRK. I've been looking into it myself. I have a pdf file entitled "what to know about PRK" if you're interested. PM me if so.

there are better options out there. PRK is old school.
LASIK is much better. Wavefront technology and LADAR make it more accurate than ever. I had LASIK a couple of years ago and was very happy with the results. My vision has changed a little since then (I might need glasses for my next medical) so i may need a "touch-up." But i was happy to be rid of contacts and coke bottles. I would recommend it to anyone.
