Anybody do American Flyers CFI online renewal? I'm thinking about doing it. What were your experiences, also I am on a dialup will it be too slow?

Thanks!

This subject has come up several times this year. Running a search should answer all of your questions.

CFI renewal

I did it last summer. It was fairly easy and painless. the 56K modem should not be a problem. It was just a couple of days sitting at the computer and clicking through the pages.

I did it 2 years ago and getting ready to do it again... When I signed up 2 years ago they had the "CFI for Life" program running... Pay $100 and you can renew for free for the rest of your life. Not sure if they still have this program.

As far as the course, pretty painless, just time consuming.

Same here, no sweat.

The good part is that, unlike others, this one is good for life. Gleim used to do that, but no longer has the lifetime renewal.

They still have the 100 dollars for life thing. I did it a couple of months ago. If you can look at porn with that dial-up, American Flyers shouldnt be a problemo.

American Flyers

You get what you pay for...

I just renewed with American Fliers.

They just took all of their lecture notes and put them online and added a quiz at the end.

Not a lot of work went into creating the content and there are spelling and other errors throughout...

If I was renewing again I'd go with Gleim...

Cheers

Went with Gleim

Renewed a few months back. Went with Gleim after looking at several products. The lifetime renewal is great, but I believe that the Gleim product is better.

It might have changed, but with American Fliers you need to stay "logged" in for the required hours. Gleim you do not.

Have fun.

You might even learn something in the process.....

I did it a couple of weeks ago with with AF. No problems. Got my certif. re-newed and thats what I wanted. I really did not want to re-learn just give me the paper work.
