Any news on cargo hiring?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but has cargo hiring slowed down or if not, stopped? I've been calling around, and seems like brick wall is everywhere! Can anybody point me in any sort of direction as to finding entry level cargo jobs? I'm willing to move anywhere, except Alaska. Thanks very much.
