I flew the MD-11 ... 10 years ago ... might still remember enough to embarrass myself.

If you want to know something about the LSAS system ... first ... drink heavily before attempting to understand the system.

Yea, until you put it in manual then watch out. I know of at least three crews who flamed out the #2 engine by pushing buttons without their brain fully engaged. Probaby done many more times than we will ever know.
