Saw this one on the Majors Board, but I thought I would inquire the same question to some of the Regional Folks????? Anyone have any success at the job fair in ATL on 4/16????????

Nope!.....By the Way What's a K. Sig??

i know pinnacle was conducting on the spot interviews

anybody get offered a job at the confrence?

Regional hiring is booming. Pinnicle guy said he hire everyone at the show between now and the end of the year. Two other T-prop regionals had classes to fill in the next month. There are tons of regional jobs out there. They have also redefined their competitive hiring minimums. All part of the push to the 2007 hiring boom.

Can someone please shed some light on this "2007 Hiring Boom" I have been hearing about the last couple of daze!!!! Is this a guess on what will happen or is it that "7" is a lucky number and things have to get better sooner or later?

Fill me in.....

Scapegoat, despite all evidence to the contrary, Pilotyip (and a few of his loyal, yet mathmatically challenged followers) has decided that because aviation is a cyclical industry that somehow, magically, every 10 years (because the aviation industry cycle is on the metric system, apparently) major airlines will suddenly have need of countless hordes of pilots and will hire accordingly. It's happened at least twice now, so it is virtually guaranteed to happen again! Apparently, all this silly stuff like 9/11, $60/barrel gas prices, wars in the middle east and deregulation have absolutely nothing to do with determining airline hiring. All you have to do is check the calendar. If the year ends in a 7, you're good to go. It's comforting, isn't it? Numerology is awesome.

Check the numbers

Bluto, You have to become a believer, your negative vibes could upset the celestial hiring clock. Check the math on the other Air Inc thread, "How was the ATL Air Inc job fair." You have to believe it is going to happen.

YIP, I believe, I believe!! Um, I want to believe? Thanks for not taking my rant too seriously. In fact, I do see many positive trends as far as hiring is concerned. Additionally, I concede that 2007 could be a huge year for hiring. Eventually, due to retirements alone there will be many recalls of furloughed pilots and, eventually, hiring of new ones at all the surviving airlines. The only reason I can't stop ripping on you about this is your certainty and the reasoning based solely on the date. Incidentally, thanks for being such a good sport about it. ;)

p.s. "Celestial hiring clock" is college-level work. Congratulations!:)

The way it should be all bar room give and take BS, with a hint of conviction

Fdx, I'm counting on you getting hired by '07. You're my only contact!! If you don't get me hired, who's going to pay for my baby's college!!?? :)
