Does ANYBODY have ANY leads on ANY(Instructing, Banner Tow that doesn't require 2 grand for the job, flying skydivers, FO) flying jobs in Ft. Lauderdale? It'll be 8 months this month since I've flown and I've gotten to know a lot of receptionists! I did'nt think that 9/11 would cause me to NEVER fly again, and they said that furloughed meant temporary! Man, who knew it was gonna be this hard! The wife needs to eat, and I thought those ribs sticking out was a good thing! Oh well.

Dude you are lucky you got a number- - relax about the flying gig- you already have a number - you don't have to get more time- get a job that will pay your bills and fly if the opportunity comes up- I know you want to feel the breeze between your knees - but just feed the wife and get her off your back - Or go join the military and pay it forward- they will hold your job if you get a reserve gig and you can start on a military retirement and bennies and feed the wife while you are building seniority at the airline- stop crying - you got it good - aint no 800 hr pilot gunna be gettin no jobs soon - Max

Well said Max.

...And hey kwb I'm not in Lauderdale but I'll trade you my CFI job and 1000 hrs of my worthless cessna 172 time for your number??

Maxwell,

You said, "feed the wife", no less than two times in one paragraph. The last thing most of the "wives" I've seen needed a feeding, a rice cake perhaps.:D Definately not a feeding.;)

Oops! Did I say furloughed and temporary in the same sentence? I meant resigned and real permanent. Does that offer still stand? 'Cause i'll take it!!!!

go wait tables until you get your call. i 2nd the other guy. give me your number and you can have my cfi job. i'll bite the bullet for a few months and then go back to "my" erj gig. could be worse. suck it up. the times they is tough.

starving(and i do mean starving)cfi

Seriously?!?!? 800 hours and furloughed from an Embraer RJ airline?!?!? Hang onto that number with all your might!
There are plenty of 2000+ hour pilots who would give anything for it!

Seriously! I WAS furloughed from an airline where I flew the ERJ, and a TP before that and flew over 200 hrs. 121, you do the math. But now I am seriously resigned from that airline and looking for any leads for South Florida (Lauderdale) flying jobs. I'm not looking for what I had, I'm looking for a job, any flying job. I know, I know, times are tough, but I spent way too much time and money to just give up on my dream! I'm not looking for something that I am not qualified for. I realize that it may be a while before something comes along, I'm just asking if anyone had any leads, I guess not, at least not now.

We're all in the same boat, chasing our dreams, but the boat is the ANDREA GAIL!
