Any more info on hiring numbers at Alaska for '02 and '03. I understand that classes through November are filled. How much of what's going on with US Air and other turmoil affecting Alaska?

Alaska

The plan is for continued hiring through the spring of 03, maybe longer...
Retirements hit about 50 a year in 05, and up to 70+ in 07. For a pilot group that is less than 1600 total - the upcoming retirements are substantial. (I went up 9 slots in my base on the last bid):)
As far as US Air effecting us - I have no idea... We just keep on doing what we do, stay in our nitch, branch out when we can and keep "The Face" flying.
Good flying to all.

Are these retirements based on retiring at age 60? Correct me if I'm wrong, but itsn't there talk about moving the mandatory retirement age to 65?
