750,

The main reason they want to switch is because of the pay and the pay leads to some tension in the cockpit but the lifestyle should be the same. Everybody is based out of HNL although a few commute from the big island and the mainland(west coast). There has been some talk for a Bangkok base for the 747 crew but nothing is for sure yet. A lot of the guys want to live there.
One difference between IASCO and HACS is that IASCO gives you all the money and lets you choose where to invest it and HACS keeps a little of your paycheck and they invest it for you. Lots of guys were mad because they lost alot of money recently and there was nothing they could do. I don't know what WASinc does in regards to this issue but the main thing is lower pay.

Why would a company only give you a portion of "your" money and invest the rest? Maybe I'm missing something here. Are we talking about a 401K, or some other type of retirement account?

Does anyone have the actual starting pay rate for WASInc? Thanks Varig :)

750,

I believe it is a retirement account. I will find out more about this and also the starting pay for WASinc and will get back to you.

750,

It is a retirement account but I don't know what kind it is and the starting pay for WASinc is $5000 plus per diem. I hope this helps.

Thank you Varig. Your numbers have been confirmed by someone that PM'd me.
