Has anyone been into SEGU lately? I'm looking for 'real' info with regard to security for private aircraft while on the ground as well as in the city for crews. The handlers (Air Routing & Universal) security briefings tend to be sales pitches for their contractors' services and so I tend to take them with a grain of salt. Any insight would be appreciated.

we were only there for a night. airport was fine, standard security and fencing.

we stayed at the hilton, just ate there, and stayed in for the night, so can't tell you about the town much.

we operate in and out of segu monthly and have never had any problems. we use a private handlier their...patty carerra. new runway/atc speaks ok english/new terminal/great hotel (hilton). we rountinely walk the streets around the hotel to the mall (san marino) and have never had a problem. her email is [email protected]
