Compass is saying there will be very quick upgrades for those that are not initially hired as Captains. I have heard that they are starting to hire FOs now instead of all captains. I have also heard that you are typed immediately so that all you have to do is go to recurrent class when you upgrade. Is this the case? And if so, is it their ploy to hire guys and pay them first officer pay through training, and as soon as they get out of training upgrade them. That way, they only have to pay a fraction of what they should be paying pilots while in training. That sounds like a typical NWA style plan.

What's Compass doing in a LLC/Nationals thread. Its a start up regional at best. Oh yeah and now Mesaba is working a flow deal out also. Compass is the new whipping child in the red tail family...
