just curious if any fracs have changed policies about furlouhed airline drivers considering the fact that most airlines will not recall for another 2-3 yrs minimum....

Netjets

The F/O on the last tour was a furloughed UAL 727 pilot based out of
- - -. She had been with us since April. She said that at the interview
the company had said that they would require her to resign her senority
number, but has heard nothing, or signed nothing, since then. I've talked
to several laid off major drivers here, they all said the same thing.
I've heard we'll be hiring steadily for at least two more years, but get
in line, the resume pile is VERY deep. Right now I'd say that L.O.R.s
(the more the better) , are probably a must to work at Netjets.

thanks so much for the info...the way the airline industry is going today...this may be the only means of travel in the next ten years!

How do you get a CL65 to FL350, JATO Bottles??? LOL

Just couldn't resist.

gump:D

Good one Gump88! That does seem a bit optomistic an altitude for the ol' stretch Challenger...

Yes, the fracs are hiring furloughees! I'm living proof and I even told the interviewers that I would probably be recalled soon but had no interest in sitting on the bottom of the seniority list until the next furlough. Wasn't asked to resign... but then I wasn't at a major airline either!

oops! i meant to put 250 but hit the wrong button...english teacher always told me to proofread...but did i listen? nahhhhh

Yes, They Do!

At NJA, half of my interview group, about half of my FSI sim class and about the same of my Basic Indoc. class were furloughed pilots, primarily from the majors and Midway.
None of them had to resign their seniority numbers. As far as my situation, I quit a decent regional, not furloughed, but no one mentioned seniority resignation to me at the interview or subsequently.
Good luck.
