Was just wondering, are there any current or any ex-Phoenix East instructors (Daytona Beach Airport) around here. I have a few questions to ask and was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me. Please feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Oh yes............ the infamous ERU!!!!

Anyone got 100,000 I can borrow??

Well if you go to Phoenix Eas you will need 150,000, they will milk you untill you are dry!

Pedro,

Did you go there? They say it's only $40,000+ and you can instruct there after you get the ratings.

They say a lot of things, most schools will promise you everything. I lived in Daytona for 6 years and instructed for 2, 1 in DAB and one in Epic. Epic is by far the best school in the area, and Phoenix is by far the most unsafe, and they will milk you. I had a few friends go there and they took all their money, jusy because they didn't know better.

Pedro,

They certainly have nice brochures!!
Does Epic have any affiliations with any regionals, etc?

I know their advertising is pretty good.
No, Epic doesn't have affiliations with any regionals, and neither does PEA. Actually, I'mnot aware of any flight school being affiliated with any regional. Some academies have agreements for interviews, like Flight Safety and ALLATPS. Epic however has the best fleet in the Daytona area, the best maintenance, and for the planes, the best price.

Flight Schools in Fort Lauderdale

There are Many flight schools in fort lauderdale I work for a flight school. We fly Pipers I did my training there many of the big flight schools around charge a arm and a leg I did everything for 40,000 grand. I fyou would like any info pm me

STAY AWAY FROM PEA!!! I started there in '02 and they milked me for 83 hours for my private. First one thing, then another wasn't good enough to take my checkride. When I left there, I ended up paying about 7500-8000 for just my ppl. I went to another, albeit more expensive flight school, and was told by my instructor that I was ready for my instrument checkride after just 20 hours, and the instrument ride is supposed to be the most difficult ride you have. I had my instrument ride at the minimum requirements and aced it and proceeded to take my commercial ride at 251. PEA says they can get you done with 40K but will milk you for evey last cent. Check out ALL ATP's in Jacksonville. I wish that I would've gone there. Seems like the fastest track to the airlines. You get your instructor ratings so you can "pay your dues" and still get to a regional with less than 1000 hrs. Good luck in whatever route you go.
