AirTran pilot looking to catch a ride to Buenos Aires next week....most of pax carriers are full and I haven't been able to find a freighter going that way. Thanks in advance for any info.

She must be hot. And probably is if she resides in BA:)

Florida West?

Don't know if they even accept jumpseaters and don't have a number for them, but I believe FloridaWest cargo goes there. Miami based, owned by Lan group I think.

Good luck! Enjoy Carnivale!

None of the well known freighters mentioned here go to BA. Tradewinds used to have a 747 going to BA for LAN, but it was only once a week. Don't know about Florida West. There was a company out of Miami, from Peru, Venezuela or Colombia, that had routes to BA with a stop somewhere in South America.

Have you tried Continental out of Houston? They go non-stop to BA and some people do not know about it. They started flying down there two years ago. I flew on United from MIA and did not have any problems, but that was before 9/11, and had to ride the jumpseat cause the plane was full.

thanks for all the info...looking into FloridaWest. Continental would be great...they even have seats open. Unfortunately, we are not on their "international" jumpseat list....Don't know how much this is enforced.

Sorry, no offline Jumpseats on FloWest. Plus the destination can change even a few hours before departure.

Try Fedex. They have a flight to Vericopas (Brasil, near Rio de Janeiro) and a few years back Mountain Air cargo flew to BA from there. From MIA there is very little cargo traffic to BA
