I am putting together a package with the help of a recruiter and was wondering if there were any C-17 pilots out there that could offer any advice.

1. How competitive is it?

2. What kind of AFOQT scores did pilots have to get in?

3. Have the hired many civilian pilots in the past?

4. What is the flying like? i.e. destinations, length of trips, quality of life, ect.

I would really appreciate any advice you may have for me. I really want this.

Thanks

Just out of curiousity, are you trying to get "sponsored" by a unit on the east coast? If so I'm submiting a package for probably the same unit. If you like I can post my stats.

WinstonPilot,

Yes, I am trying to get sponsored. I haven't had a chance to talk with anyone in the squadron or anyone that is applying so it would be great to hear from you. My email is [email protected].

Thanks!
