I just pulled up the 1300 radar image for that day, and the entire state of OK is covered in rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The strongest area is in the SE portion of the state where there is a large cluster SW to NE of echo tops in the mid to high 30's.

I knew all of the guys on that flight. I was at NBAA when I got the word. The aircraft was N555JS. I had flown that airplane many times. They were taking the plane down because it had the new five bladed props. I heard that the left wing seperated. I know the weather was pretty bad at the time of the accident. Another sad part was that Wayne, was on his way to beating the cancer he had. Very sad, great group of guys. They will be missed.
