Does anyone know of any hiring gouge available on the internet for jobs at the 89th?

Thanks.

I should have been more clear: Gouge other than the information available on the AFPC website.

Thanks

This gouge is advice I was given by a recent hire while I was preparing an application. In the end, my app was OBE and I didn't even get to complete the process, as evidenced by my bio.

- When they ask you which airframe you'd prefer, say something along the lines of , "It doesn't matter, as long as I'm flying for the 89th AW."

- And don't go there planning on getting into the PPO. It's by-invitation only.

- At the interview, there's a social the first night. Dress professionally, act professionally. Don't overdrink and get stupid - it's happened!

- Signature on the letter of release is from "no higher than senior rater." Make sure you have support of your chain before sending up the SSS requesting Wg/CC's signature. If it gets shot down by the OG, you're screwed. Politically, your Sq/CC won't be able to sign the letter instead.

Good luck!
