Check out the guest editorial by Brian Wilson.

I've taken approximately 30 checkrides in 21 years of flying, and the only one I ever busted was the one Brian Wilson trained me for....

Didn't seem to have that little tidbit in ABOUT THE EDITOR. Enough said.

I better go look for my missing pay checks... One of the headlines from 2005 says that "airline pay continues to rise". If that guy really is a SCAB it sure fits!

Have you guys and gals seen this website???

http://www.airlinesafety.com/

ouch. Sounds like some anger there.

I've come across a few members of this forum that would fit right in over there.. The idea of a union really seems to bug some people at the core, yet they wonder why we're all paid so poorly.

I like how he has to list a PO Box!

Did ALPA let UAL scabs enter the union after the strike like they did at Continental?

UAL SCABs are non-members. That's why you rarely see a UAL pilot without an ALPA pin. Those without pins are almost certainly SCABs or non-members.

wow what a scumbag...He failed to mention the success of SWA a unionized and highly compensated group of pilots. What about FEDEX and UPS? Also unionized and extremely well paid. If a strong union and high pay were all that kept airlines from doing well why aren't Kalita, Allegiant, Polar, Spirit, National, etc ruling the skies?

I think we as pilots are too nice to scabs. Those guys actively tried to destroy our profession and pieces of trash like the guy behind that website CONTINUE to attack our profession after retiring. I sure as h#ll know that a scab will NEVER occupy my jumpseat and I will never do anything to help on out.

Oh Lord! I am not even going to look at it. I don't need another website taking up half my day.

Brian is a tool among tools. Know him personally and he is not worth the time of day. Move on and forget about the guy. Unless of course, he wants a ride on your jumpseat.

Although I certainly agree on the premise of the argument, I'll admit I'm a bit confused by the examples listed...aren't Polar and Spirit both represented by ALPA? Also, I believe Allegiant is too new to be ruling the skies and are somewhat of a niche airline. Nonetheless, they are highly profitable ($10M 1Q/07) and growing very rapidly.
