What's up everyone? I interviewed w/ NJA and just found out I got
the job out of CMH. Out of nine of us, five got hired. They are only
hiring out of CMH and LAX for now. I was given the choice of the Excel
or the X and I chose the X. My indoc starts in July and it lasts 10 days,
then 9 days off and then class for 19 days. I've noticed a lot of people
asking how many days from sending a resume to getting an app. to getting
an interview. I applied in Jan., got the app. about two weeks later and waited
four months for the interview. It's well worth the wait. It was smooth and impressive. They paid for everything. It also helps to get as many recomendation letters as possible, but not necessary. Derrinda said that to date they have hired 230 pilots. They are mostly hiring in the excel. Good luck to everyone...

Great job! Enjoy passing us all by on the X... That would have been my choice too.

I'm betting that about 2 days into indoc, you're going to wish you'd picked the XL. You can buy me a beer on the wager when you meet me.

C'mon Griz,

He's going to enjoy doing .92 M between service centers....;)

.92 - after the novality wears off - not impressive .... a 14 hour day is a 14 hour day - all it means is you'll cross more time zones than anyone else. The ability to climb to FL470 on a routine basis to avoid weather ... nice.

Congrats; the X is an impressive plane, but be prepared to work!

OZ - What big can's you have!!

Of all the NJA guys I see on the road the X guys seem to be the most beat up after a long day. The 800 seems to be the Gentleman’s a/c - not much baggage, shorter hops, benefit of an APU.

Baja.

Does anyone know what NJs dispatch rate is for the 750? Is the X the worst of the fleet?
This is apples to oranges but most 91 departments that I have talked to who operate a X have had very few problems with their ac. Especially, serial #100+. We have had very few problems with our X. But NJs puts more time on their Xs in two months then we do in a yr.
Just my 2 cents.
