Got this from another forum:

Heard from a "source" at AAI......general run down....will have to wait for further details:
1. They did decide to send it to the pilots.
2. Top 50 percent of their captains will gain approx. 1-2 percent on seniority over SL9
3. Everyone else will fall into where they were set on SL9
4. No seat lock/protection
5. No ATL fences.
6. 717 pay stays the same as current AAI pay
7. When 737's come to SWA, the displaced CA goes to 717 CA and the displaced 717 CA will bid what his NEW seniority can hold.
8. No $$$ in this one.
9. Bottom 345ish at AAI end up at the bottom of our list.

Discuss.....

Or since this FI, attack each other......

I call B.S. On this one.

Got a serious question. Why would SWAPA want a different pay rate for the 717. According to the SWA guys on here there are over 700 AirTran applications in at SWA before merger announcement. So, it would be reasonable to believe that many of those 717 pilots also have 737 types. With no fences doesn't that mean when there is a 737 vacancy the pilot that can hold the vacancy can jump ship over to the 737 and all of the new hires at SWA will be forced on the 717. Why would they treat their new hires that way? Or are they adjusting longevity to meet the payrate adjustments? Just wondering?
