Another Red Tail attacks a jet way!

Wow, am I the first to see this report?

The news report I saw didn't give the exact airport, but it did say a NWA Airbus hit a jet bridge in New York. No passengers on board. They didn't say who was taxiing it, just that two employees where at the controls. Apparently another aircraft was also damaged and 6 people had injuries. From the pics, it wasn't a small dent. Looked like the nose gear collapsed.

Let the wild speculation begin!

The story I got was maintenence personnel repositioning the aircraft to the gate. Sound familiar??

The Captain I just flew with saw the NWA static display as it was being tended to in LGA. He spoke to one of our agents who used the camera on his cell phone (jeez, even F/A's have James Bond sh1t these days) to take some interesting shots of the suspect aircraft. Supposedly, the 'Bus was being towed to the gate when it contacted the jetway. Subsequently, the nosewheel collapsed - rendering the forward slides unnecessary. I'd love to see the photos.

It's been a bad week for tug drivers. A couple of days ago one of our 737's was being towed back to the gate in IND to off - load a sick passenger, and the left? wing hit a deice truck. Dinged up the #1 slat and nearly poked through the fuel tank. The truck is expected to survive.

I saw that plane when i was in LGA on sunday. Pretty wild. I was there again monday morning and it was out of there...i think in a hangar. I saw the 757 too, but not the damage on it.

Was there that morning also. The 757 was towed and parked by the US Airways Express gates. I couldn't see any damage to it from a distance, but I am sure it is exspensive! As of yesterday the Airbus was in one of the old American hangers by the approach end of runway 4, the 757 is tucked away in one of the hangers next to the US Airways Express gates.
