While pandering for Hispanic votes in Sunday's Miami Herald, Kerry said "I'm pretty tough on Castro, because I think he's running one of the last vestiges of a Stalinist secret police government in the world. And I voted for the Helms-Burton legislation to be tough on companies that deal with him"

Then what was found out:

It turns out that Senator John Kerry actually voted against the Helms-Burton legislation. Never let the facts get in the way of good campaigning, right? Let's just see if the media calls Kerry out on this one at his next press conference.

Unbelievable. Now he is convinced he can lie with impunity, eveen in light of open source, documented fact. You guys really think he is electable? With eight months left to go, I wonder how many whoppers he will pile up. He is going at a one biggie per week clip right now.

He's not even good at lying like Slick Willie was. I think even the Dem's see him as a joke of a candidate. Their support of him will be weak at best in a couple of months. The Clintons are already looking at 2008 to make a stand, they are not strong enough (candidate wise) for this election. Since they hold the power in their party, they will hedge their bets on '08.
