Don't mean to beat up on the guys and gals at the TSA, but this investigative piece on what a reporter managed to walk through security is a bit of an eye opener.

HINT: To carry >3oz of liquid, use a souvenir type "snow globe". Scissors and pocket knives seem pretty easy to get through "as is".

However, an easier way to get through >3 oz of liquid is just to label it "medical saline solution" . . .medical items aren't covered in the ban.

Forged boarding passes seem pretty easy to use as well. Kinda hard to check names against "the list" when a simple photoshop job will allow any name to be listed on the ticket. The TSA knows this, and their solution? . . . Expand the exact same flawed program to cover private jets and make them pay for it and be responsible for it's implementation.

Thats a well done article. I never though of making my own knife on board, or using the beer belly to get drunk on board.

Don't mean to beat up on the guys and gals at the TSA,

they're just such easy targets though. and if you're posting stories about 'em, that they bring upon themselves, ain't beating up on 'em. a nice rum & coke will help you get over your guilt. ;)
