Another Boeing issue... 747 goes to battery power.

For all the Airbus haters out there, here is another case of a Boeing design problem. If a water leaking from a galley can cause all four generators to fail at the GCU choke point, well...... Glad they weren't in the middle of the Pacific when this happened.

Slight flame intended. I can imagine the uproar if this were an Airbus.

But at least with a Boeing, you can still fly the airplane. With an Airbus, not so sure.

Depends....some of them have the modified inlet scoop. In an emergency...still fire it up. I know for a fact on the -200 it will start and run at least at 5000'.
