Alright before people bust my balls...I did perform a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I want to do everthing right while filling all this out so it doesn't come back to haunt me later.

I have two questions about the "flight time" section:

1.) In the intructions, it says that it is not necessary to break down each and every aircraft type and an applicant can keep it broad such as "single-engine cessna" and then "single-engine piper". I've trained and taught in aircraft from both manufacturers as well as a few others. So, I'd prefer to not have to be even THAT specific about it. I was probably going to just fill out a "single-engine fixed (tricycle) gear" then have seperate category for each different complex and multi-engine aircraft type, as well as a category for my small amount of tail wheel time. I'm not trying to be lazy about completing this, but I figure that the simpler I keep it the better chance I have of things not getting all jazzed up.

2.) When they ask for "simulator time", are they only asking for actual full motion time or would this include FTD time as well.

I know that some of the questions may in fact be subjective; therefore, I'm not just looking for hard facts but also for what other people have done successfully.

Thanks for the info......

Greetings..I filled out the app and put cessnas, pipers, etc under their general respective categories. As far as sim time goes, I only put full motion sim time on there as I felt it was the only time that would be relevant. Hope this helps.

Take care

I used "Various single engine", and wrote "172, 152, PA28, etc" and put all the single stuff under there. Then I did the twin I flew most by type and put the random twins under "Various light twin".

I used "single engine cessnas" and "single engine pipers" but for the sim time I only used full motion. FTDs don't really count I think.

Alighty, thanks all. So it seems that it's pretty much open to personal liking. I filled out some of it last night. I have all my columns made but haven't entered in all my flight times yet. I have "single engine fixed gear" as it's own column. Then each complex aircraft as well as each multi aircraft has it's own respective column.

I'm quickly learning why everyone seems to dislike airlineapps. haha
