According to this morning's Wall Street Journal, Delta and AMR are talking merger.

AMR Corp.'s American Airlines and Delta Air Lines held preliminary talks on industry consolidation earlier this week, people involved said, even discussing the possibility of a merger between the two air giants.

The talks took place in New York on Monday between executives one notch below the chief executive level, plus investment bankers and lawyers. Discussions were "wide-ranging," and will continue, the people said.

See the whole scary thing at http://interactive.wsj.com/articles/B960... If this is a sure thing AMR stock would have to be the same market cap. of Delta Airlines putting AMR stock price $22 or more. This happen to United Airlines when it merge with Continental the stock price had to match with Continental Airlines market Cap. and United stock went from $3 to $24.....Hold Your Shares!!!!!!!!!
