I was there in the mid 90s.. Funny, besides the pay (although it sounds as if it went up a bit) the company was not that bad. I remember upgrade was not based upon seniority due the flight times of some new hires. My class had DE captains back then. A few had been at Pan Am then Custom Air, or Tower.

When I look back at the other airlines I have flown with, all in all it is a pretty descent place to work. One christmas we all received black duffle bags (with the Amerijet logo). I know...but it is the only airline that ever gave me a christmas gift.

There are a few of us at AA, and I know MANY including the director of training (from my time) jumped to Jet Blue.

767s, I like that one. The rumor du jour during my time was the DC-10. Who knows. It seems more common now to have wide-bodies, plus the South, and Central American markets can provide a lot of cargo. Maybe the extra lift is needed now.
