I must be doing something wrong with the applying process. I have mailed, emailed, faxed my cover letter & resume in with no responses.

Ameriflight just posted another opening on Climbto350.com

Posted requirements: 14 CFR 135.243(c), 1500-1800tt & 250-350 Multi

I have: ATP, 2455tt, 2340 PIC & 748 Multi

700 hrs P.I.C. in C-310R for FAR135 charter/cargo op.

I guess I need to do the online application, huh?
Anybody in the know please PM, Thanks!

Ya you need to call and them, you will get the interview. Call them right now and ask for Jonie (sp?). And I bet you will be ask to come out ASAP. If you have any questions let me know.

Tony

Yes, call and follow up with your resume. If you are unable to talk directly to Jonie, then leave her a voice mail. Then keep following up until you actually talk to her. Pilot recruitment is difficult to get in touch with sometimes. Your time/experience should definitley get you an interview.
Good luck!

online app

I just got an email that pretty much says HIRE as many and as much people as possible. PDX can't keep a pilot to save their lives.

the online app is obvious.... fill it out!

After you fill out the online stuff, give em a call. You will be interviewed ;)

So what's wrong with PDX that people don't want to stay there?

A long time ago when I was in the NW, I wanted to get on with Ameriflight so I wouldn't have to move but they didn't call me for an interview either. :bawling:

There is almost no turbine upgrade (very senior turbine base). At best maybe Be-99 reserve after about a year or a Be-99 outstation (of the three that come open, only one is any good, the other two mostly suck). Very few Metro or 1900 slots. Long reserve shifts, no specials. Better schedule than some bases though.

I transferred after six months there for a turbine upgrade, but I enjoyed my time there. The PA31 runs were cool and there is a lot of variety. The people there were good. I would've stayed if there were more/better turbine runs. Portland is a cool city.
