I did apply online but I've also recently sent my resume via email. I've been trying to get ahold of Jerry Clark but it seems like he is never there. Others have told me this is the guy to contact to try and get an interview.

I don't know anybody that works at Ameriflight. I'm done with flying in the regionals and now am looking to move into cargo.

Thanks for your reply tinman...

Pretty sure Alpine Air is PFT. Appreciate the thought, but no thanks.
Yes they do PFT, but they have hired 135 VFR pilots into the 99 in the past. This info is a couple of years old though.

I think PHX is better...course I'm based there.
Went into PHX the other night and was told to hold short of the ramp for a Metro rapidly approaching our intersection.. My anal CA I was flying with decided to have a few words with him on the radio. Entertaining to say the least! I know there's alot of pressure from the brown wonder to get sh$t there on time.

nah, they don't really care if you get there on time as long as you block on schedule. as long as you block on time you can clear the chocks, burst into flames, melt into a little puddle, and they'll be just as happy as hogs in slop. the outstation will call looking for you, and the base will be like "...i..i...don't know where he is. he blocked out on time."

or so i've heard at least :).

So why did I have to miss the last 15 min. of Family Guy every morning in MSY? ...Doh!! Forgot that was a bank run! Ya'll still doing any bank business?

nope, not doing bank business anymore except in the pacific northwest where air is the only feasible option for the isolated towns. and any responsible freight pilot carries full season dvd's of the Family Guy to play on their laptop while the captain snoozes on the way back to dfw.

it's not. still trying to prove to the faa that i have two eyeballs, and that they work just fine thank you. otoh, i now know enough about a 73 to be extremely dangerous in one.
