As a 5 year Amflight "veteran", I think I would speak for the majority of pilot's and say it's not a bad place to work. As far as FAR 135 operators go they are one of the better outfits.

I will agree with the previous positive posts. Just over 3 1/2 years. Down side is the pay. For a day loyover job, the layover is what you make of it, and you do have a place to sleep(all) and a car (at most places). They flying is fun, and will get/keep you sharp.
I think the experience varies according to where you are based. I was in OAK and had no complaints. If you showed up and did your job they pretty much left you alone. The training was very good for a 135 operator. MX was good also. AMF operates a lot of aircraft and they have operating procedures down to a science. Do yourself and your buddies a favor and fly the way the company wants you to fly. That means thinking ahead and planning your descent in the piston birds. Many regionals and even WN like to hire AMF pilots.
