American Airlines International Jumpseat

[PCL Flt-ops]

I might try to use American to jumpseat internationally next week. I heard that they can be kind of difficult about international jumpseats for regional airline pilots. Mainly the gate agents, and not so much the pilots. One of my friend's said that it can be hit or miss and he jumpseats all around Central America on them.

Anyone have the scoop?

I am a PCL pilot who jumpseats internationally also. I jumpseat with CO out of IAH to travel to S. America regularly with no problems. No problems with Delta either. With AA getting past the gate agent is the key. Still its up to the Capt. Where are you based?

the agents are bad, the pilots aren't much better.

Just get to the gate early and introduce yourself to the pilots.

If your a "airline pilot" you should have a list of airlines
that your company has an agreement with.
