They've started a pool

Last I heard they're thinking May of June for a next class, but nothing specific. Apparently AW is hanging out to see how the TA goes as well as if war breaks out, etc. They've started a pool, and have been cutting down on the amount of interviewing they've been doing.

Just got a call on Friday. No more classes for rest of year. Still in the pool however.....supposed to keep updating them with my address/phone. Hopefully, this is an overreaction and will reverse. :(

p.s. I have no idea if they cancelled the April 21st class or not.

p.p.s Spoke with a friend of mine (AW Airbus F/O)....said there's rumors everywhere about AW furloughing again, but didn't seem to be too worried about them being true, etc. (He was furloughed after Sept. 11, and not too far from the bottom of the list now)

It's official: no more classes at AWA for the remainder of 2003. A certified letter has been sent out to all that were awarded a class (the 21 April class -- formerly known as the 31 March class) stating that they will be placed in a pool for the next class.

In the words of the lady I spoke with: "it's a result of a combination of things -- the negotiations with the Association, the war with Iraq, and the general economy".
