Friends don't let friends' fly rotax.....

Nice Job! I like how he pulled in the driveway at the end. Shoulda picked a mcdonalds!!

They didn't kill themselves quickly enough for you from an engine failure so you wish them a slow death by eating at McDonald's?:D

Ha, and according to the media and 3/4 of the people on this site, say only Sully could do that. At least there was no Flt Att to open a door and screw people more.

That was Sully's youngest kid, Sinbad... The ol' scull got a bit rowdy that one time with Fantasia down in the islands... And out pops 'bad about 9 months later!

Amazing what the genetic combination of a superior aviator and an illiterate American Idol can result in....

-Git 'r done!

Nice job but VERY lucky. They were in a real pickle after the first time it quit. Luckily they got a little more thrust from the engine to get them to that road. Also there was not one car on the road that they landed on. Nice job. Funny how he almost whacked the wing at the end.

Almost only counts in horse shoes, grenade throwing and midget tossing. He cleared the wing on purpose.

Yep, there was a lot of luck here....just like there was a lot of luck in the "Miracle on the Hudson". That might not have turned out so well either under different conditions.

Nice job. He even made the high speed exit...

For every youtube video, there will be at least 1 comment accusing it of being fake.

Thats alot of trouble to create a hoax.... Landing on a highway and all. They were LOW! @ 500ft when the motor quit?

There was a report on one of the cable channels this morning about the possibility that this may have been a stunt. I mean come-on, Front Page Productions. And why was the pax hitting switches on the instrument panel after the engine failure? The pax supposedly was a photographer.

Well here's something odd I noticed. The engine cuts out and he doesn't make an attempt to reengage the starter. After some theatrics (cursing, really) he reaches for the key and BOOM - the engine comes right back.

Also, it seemed odd that he just plainly turned into the driveway as if it were a normal (planned) maneuver. Wouldn't it be more natural to let it roll down the road?

...and the camera setup on the inside and outside...

Seemed a little contrived, but perhaps it is real.

Hey I've got an idea! Hold my beer while I roll my airplane off the side of a bumpy steep hillside and see if I can make it to the sandbar!

That was incredible. Stupid and crazy come to mind as well but what a cool stunt.

Gup
