Quantify this.

What I meant was that I can afford to go to any school, but I don't want to go to one that over charges you, when I could be going to one much cheaper, and thus saving money. I have read a few posts in which people say that the quoted prices by DCA are nowhere near what they actually are (much higher).

I'll also have to apply for citizenship, as I was born in Canada (moved Clevland when I was 9 months old), unfortuantly I don't have a dual even, though I have lived in the US half my life (10 yrs) and my two sisters have dual, as they were born in Chicago. So I shouldn't have to much a problem.

The fact that you are not a US citizen could be a big problem now days what with the TSA. Your situation could result in a delay of many months before training can begin. Be sure to check this part out.

When I was shopping around for flight schools last year, I looked into DCA and figured the total cost to be around $100,000 or very close. ATP is just about half of that, and since you have your Private already, you wouldn't have to endure the sh*thole of a program they have for their private students in Jacksonville, FL and instead you could jump directly into their fast track program which they say takes about 90 days - AND you have a variety of locations from which to choose. I personally went through my local FBO to get all my ratings and spent close to $50G. It took about 1 year to go from 0 hrs to CFI. And I'm proud of the quality training I have received.

Check us out at wncaviation.com. We're in the mountains of NC.

Also look at places in Arizona. It's almost perfect weather for flying all year round and you don't have to deal with hurricanes!

Don't take offense to my opinion please, but Delta Connection Academy is a rip-off! Ratings are ratings and you will be able to pay much less for them at places other than DCA. Take care and good luck!
