It looks like ALPA did it again.
Yes ALPA won the battle for Pan AM, however lost the war, as BM Air keeps flying the 727 aircraft and the pilots for Pan Am will be out of a job as of Oct 31.

What are you talking about...have you read any of the court orders? Are you part of management now or just drinking some Kool Aid. You say you don't work for BMA but, why are all except one of your postings about BMA.

Now I've gone back and reviewed all your posts. You say you were in ALPA for 15 years paying dues and all you got for it was a pink slip. Did ALPA give you your pink slip, or was it your company management? What axe do you have to grind?

I am still a little confused by some of this BMA stuff maybe you can help because you are so knowledgable about this situation. At Pan Am we keep hearing rumors that there are Pan Am Dominicana pilots(J31)that are Dominican nationals (with U.S. work rights) that are working at BMA, but, making less money than their BMA counterparts.

How long do you think it will take the managment at BMA to figure out that if they can hire a Dominican pilot to fly a J31 for less money than the BMA pilots,than why not have them fly the 727's and if you don't like it tough. What will you say when they decide to drop the pay for BMA Pilots to

Oh and the training contracts all those BMA pilots had to sign. You have to pay that back if you quit or THEY FIRE YOU. Don't think they won't sue you or ruin your credit.

I do feel bad for the BMA guys that say they didn't know what they were getting into. It isn't pleasant to think how this might play out. Wouldn't want to be the first guy arrested for breaking a court order...would you?

It appears to me that the litigation from this suit will ultimately prevent situations like this from occurring elsewhere. In addition n706us, there are other issues being addressed in the suit beyond the apparent one that you think ALPA has lost.
The fight has only just begun in earnest. The PAA pilots may well be locked out of their jobs soon. PAA does have the right to close as a business in my opinion. However the imposter PAA (BMA) does not have the right to replace PAA with their Alter Ego carrier BMAIR, as has been there intention all along.

Facts:
1.BMA is flying the B727 in violation of the court order.

2.PAA pilots will be furloughed Oct.31.

3. ALPA has not thrown in the towel on this and the courts are not finished either.

PAA or BMA or Guilford (PAA website) offers flights past Oct. 31. It is yet to be seen who flies these scheduled flights. BMA is listed as the flying party, but the court order says different. PAA, in the past, has furloughed and sent recall notices before the furlough went into effect. That is another mess that is still held up in the courts (another pending award to the pilots that has not been paid by PAA).

Capt Robert, take a moment, read all the posts and stay tuned for more updates. The 'war' is not over.

N706us, enjoy the job at BMA. Why else would you defend such actions as those exhibited by BMA.

Something to ponder: If BMA is successful, think other large, legacy carriers won't try the same tactic? Delta, United AMR to name a few.
The profession of flying will no longer be a profession worth anything.
