The people running USAPA were never on the same sheet of music. They were always the angry malcontents who did nothing but cause problems.

Painting with a pretty broad brush on this one. I know a little about USAir/AWA.

Its about what the tax payer can pay not what the union wants !!!! they should all be fired just like Reagan did to the fools at PATCO.

The hay days of the unions running the show is over, the days of big money for no work is over.......its time for you lazy airline pilots to get back to work or get out of the seat and run your yogurt shop.

"If your not a liberal at 20 you're heartless, but if you're not a conservative by 40 you're brainless."? learn it live it love it fools ........libs are killing this country ....please pack up and head on down to Cuba I hear the folks love it down there !!!

So your saying that the vast majority of us should just work until we die while watching our real wages decline and retirements evaporate in order to further enrich a tiny number of already wealthy people?

This is the goal of the 'conservative' movement. It may not be what 99.9% of people who consider themselves 'conservative' support, but it is what the 'conservative' political movement has been doing since Reagan.

Spend some time looking at the statistics on income distribution over the last 50 years and where they are going.

Cheers,
Scott

ps- People who are interested in real political discussion and progress don't use derogatory terms such as 'libs'.

"Allegedly," one USAPA rep beat the crap out of another USAPA rep in their office, and he ended up in the hospital. A very professional organization they've got going over there.

I remember the police being called to the AirTran Union offices a few years ago. Allegations of theft and perhaps a union officer being escorted off property. Our current MEC Chairman was the MEC Vice Chairman at the time.

Were you on the MEC at the time PCL ?

Glass houses

As you'll recall, that took place under the NPA, our pathetic independent union before ALPA. That ridiculous display never would have taken place with ALPA on property, because the lawyers would have stepped in and brought some common sense to the situation. Under the NPA, the lawyer worked directly for the president and was basically reduced to being a yes-man. Of course, when the cops got there, they basically had nothing to do and just stood around confused at why they were called.

And no, I was not on the NPA BOD at the time.

As you love to say; ' It's the people who make up the Union, not the name':

1. LH was the Union Vice Chairman at the time. He was up to his neck in it and is now the AirTran ALPA MEC Chairman.

2. The Sec Treas. who was escorted out of the Building. He is now the ALPA Scheduling Chairman.

3. The old President of that "pathetic Union" - Thrown out for dubious conduct is now your appointed ALPA Negotiating Committee Chairman.

I could go on .....

PCL. Are you saying that you held no position in the Union at that time ?:erm:

well said!

These views are from a very well run campaign to destroy unions and the leverage of the middle class

No, I don't say that. The members are a large part of it, but the resources and staff behind it are just as big a part. The NPA would have never succeeded, regardless of the members involved, because it didn't have the resources or staff that it needed to succeed.

1. LH was the Union Vice Chairman at the time. He was up to his neck in it and is now the AirTran ALPA MEC Chairman.

He didn't make the call to the police, and he disagreed with the President when he made that decision.

2. The Sec Treas. who was escorted out of the Building. He is now the ALPA Scheduling Chairman.

Nobody was escorted out. He left voluntarily because he thought the whole thing was ridiculous. He was right.

3. The old President of that "pathetic Union" - Thrown out for dubious conduct is now your appointed ALPA Negotiating Committee Chairman.

Now you're just trying to deceive people. He was President, but not during this incident. He hadn't been President in many years.

PCL. Are you saying that you held no position in the Union at that time ?:erm:

Nope, I didn't.
