Just wondering if anyone here pays for ALPA loss of liscense insurance. If so, did you choose monthly benefit or lump sum?

Which seems to be the better choice in your opinion?

I have both. I remember a professor I once had said he insured the hell out of himself and thought it was excessive. Then out of nowhere he got diagnosed with vertigo and lost his license. Said the insurance took real good care of him. I'm going to keep mine as high as I can until the rates take off at 40 years old. At that point hopefully I'll have more money in the bank to fall back on and will decrease the policies.

Maybe investing the premiums of both instead of spending your rj fo pay would result in better financial security unless your liver is already failing or you've been diagnosed with the you know WHAT...

Considering the premiums are .8% of my income I somehow doubt my financial security will be greatly affected by anything other than the nice cash I will receive if the medical goes by-by. As far as my investments go I know 600% return is pretty low, but I'm working on it.
