is their most competitive min. Unless Peter Clark takes a likeing too you personally, the chances of getting an interview are NIL! You must have a current Aloha pilot give you the thumbs up, or it ain't gonna happen. They are looking for people comitted to staying in the islands and making Aloha a career. It is a great company! On the other hand, I have spent a lot of time in the islands (Military/civilian) and made my case to Peter personally. Aloha is my #1 choice, but without a rec. I don't think it had much effect and I feel my chances are slim. He pointed to a stack of resumes, without internal recommendations, that was about 2 feet high...The published mins are 2500 TTL and an ATP. Good luck....
Looking at your flight time JMT.. you may be thinking Aloha Island Air which is Aloha's commuter airline.
Island Air wants 1500TT, 500ME, and at least ATP written.
Unless you know some Aloha pilots, Island Air is your best way into Aloha since they have some sort of preferential hiring with Aloha - keep your nose clean, upgrade, get some flight time, and you'll get a shot at Aloha coming from Island Air.
Aloha's first year pay is pretty crappy. After our 10% concession, you make like $2100+per diem+any overrides.
Second year FO pay depends whether you're in a -700 or a -200, but for -200, it's $63k (not counting per diem or any overrides), and for -700, it's around 67k plus per diem.
I saw something in the OAG that looked like ALOHA had overnights In Kwajalin (SP?) on the 737-200. Is that true? Or do the -700's do the Kwaj and Majuro flying? Do you also go to Johnston Island? How about Xmas island?
We do MAJ/KWA with -200's as long as Johnston is open. Johnston is closing in December so MAJ/KWA are gonna be served by -700's. We fly to Christmas Island and do charters to Midway. Also, we have a regular service to Rarotonga in the Cooks Islands.
