How about this scenario:

Mesa Airlines (somehow) buys Aloha now that's in bk, and then directs the lawyers to drop the lawsuit?

As I understand it, this is a civil case, not a criminal one (YET. The night is young, grasshopper). So what would prevent this nightmare scenario from happening?

Christ, that would really, really suck.

I think JO is more concerned with scrapping togther some funds to pay off some bond notes coming due soon...

I'm sure the cargo side is a money maker. That's probably why they are considering chopping it up. Why did Banmiller wait so long to file? Was he stalling or does he have a solid buyer?

Why would Mesa want to buy an airline with an antique fleet and 3,500 mostly Hawaiian employees?

JO is dumb, but not that dumb!

I'm calling the grammar/spelling police! This thread is rife with mistakes.

And Mesa will just file Ch.11 if they lose a civil suit for millions to Aloha. That way they won't have to pay anything.

Didn't Mesa lose a lawsuit against Aloha, or someone else already? All major airlines should stop hiring Mesa guys. Maybe that would make a point. Not that any of the Majors are going to be hiring now though.

I realize that people that fly for Mesa have their own motives and can make their own decisions, but possibly if we put an end to it being any kind of stepping stone to the Majors their operation would crumble.

Lets see what good has come out of Mesa over the past few years.

1. Pilots sleeping in A/C on CD's

2. Pilots sleeping in A/C in the terminal environment

3. Company basically steeling financial Data from two other companies in Hawii.

4. Terrible customer service

5. Barely legal flight crews clogging JFK with inexperience and slow airplanes.

What else.......
Go back to bed junior..mommy will have your corn flakes ready for you before the school bus comes to take you to school. You are an enlightened cat..i like that about you

Even OJ knows there isnt even a remote possibility in this scenario otherwise he would be running his mouth and grandstanding in front of the media at this very moment.

The reports I was getting just a few weeks ago was ever since OJ flipped out in the most recent meeting with Yucaipa Ron Burkle has gotten a nasty hair up his ass for the blame shifter.

I really don't think anything has changed and for the first time we have a frightened Ornstein who hasn't got a freaking clue what to do or say anymore.

Just my $.02

Is go only flying 2 aircraft? There was the "new" white one and a normal one doing turns today but 3 sitting on the street-side ramp.
