Just a heads up:
When I talked to the Airmen Cert. division today about my mis-issued ATP certificate (different story), I also asked them about my CFI cert. that I renewed when I got back from school. Since I recieved my perm. "ATP" I figured I should have recieved my perm CFI too. No such luck, they had no record of it and they even checked the "returned for corrections" file and had no record of it. It turns out that they never even recieved the paperwork from IACRA at all! So here I am with a CFI temp that the FAA doesn't show me having. It so happens that another guy at our company used the IACRA website and process about a month before I did and he didn't recieve his perm CFI either. Our CP did some investigating today and discovered that the airmen cert. division didn't have any record of his application either.
Things are sorted out now and they are being processed.

The reason I post this that anyone else who has used this process may want to follow up with a call to the airmen cert. division just to see if they have any record of your application for a cert. or rating.

Good Luck!
JD
