Another crash in Ketchikan, today. Beaver on floats. Happy 60th birthday, Beaver....

The winds were really weird today, and the water started getting kinda rough. I pulled out earlier, but I'm kinda new here so that doesn't mean much. The pilot has a lot of hours in the Beaver, well respected and a local here.

No tourists were on board but the plane was filled with family, and many were badly burned. That's all that's known for sure at this point. Not my place to give out names, but I'm sure the press will release that stuff soon enough.

If you have pilot friends in KTN, we're all having a rough season. My prayers go out to all those involved.

Interesting!

I feel the same for the pilot what I feel for those 'curiseline' passengers and thier families.

The pilot was not my brother...neither were the passengers, but we should no only think of the pilots who die.
