Maybe GS needs to write more "sky is falling" (aka "world is changing") letters to the pilot group.

Oil has gone down about $10/barrel since his letter and the economy has been on an upswing.

My Emerging Market funds are up 68%ytd. We're all exposed enough the the airline industry. Sell every airline stock you have and forget about ever investing in them again. Warren Buffet said he'd never put a penny in airlines again. That's good enough for me.

No $hit, right on the money with the "world is changing" comment. Don't fall for their rhetoric and propaganda- don't be the easily influenced. Their "sky is falling" propaganda is portrayed as a facet affecting only the tiny little bubble that is Air Group and that its up to you to save us from "sky-rocketing fuel prices".
Here's news to you management types at ALK, $100/barrel oil is affecting every airline not just ours; and if another airline is paying less for fuel that's your shortcoming- not mine. Sorry if I thread jacked but I had to respond.

I bought and sold the ALK in the last 3 months and made 20% on it. Many people play airline stocks when they are down and undervalued. Just like your ceos and bods. On the other had I have lost that much on the emerging markets since then and they are still falling, due a large market correction. to each his own.
